William Thomson's lantern for the detection of color blindness

This lantern for the detection of color blindness can be seen under William Thomson's portrait in the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. This model was made in 1907 "for railway & marine service". The item was donated to the College by Dr. Burton Chance.
